The West Valley High School Counseling and Guidance program is available to all students. 

Counselors encourage and support students by helping them understand their abilities, identify their interests, and set goals. Counselors help students develop the skills, behaviors and knowledge necessary to be successful in school, work and life.

West Valley counselors work with students individually, in small groups and in classroom activities. We also present information to students and their parents in evening meetings. The West Valley Counseling staff hope parents, students, faculty, and community members will be able to find information and resources useful to them when dealing with issues related to high school students, their education and their careers.

School counseling is an integral part of the total educational program. The goal is to promote student success through a variety of activities and support services. We provide a developmental program in the areas of education, career and personal/social development.
